  1. I am soooo jealous of you two…. I CANNOT nap… Oh, I try… I get SOOO close. Shake hands, metaphorically. Like God on the Sistene chapel ceiling, we almost touch, but, nope. No nap… I’m almost AARP age, but that hasen’t helped either.
    I think, in 98% of the American workplace, that there is a nap policy. Don’t do it. We had a coworker who would nap at lunch, and was told by management, ‘if you need to sleep, go home’… Sigh
    “In a world, where napping is allowed at work” won’t happen for a while.

    I don’t doze off, listening to ‘It’s a Thing’, though… 🙂

  2. I have to point out that it is and has been perfectly acceptable for people to take several 5 minute smoke breaks throughout the day for hundreds of years! Ok, not really that long – but not smoking and taking a 15 minute nap is frowned upon? C’MON!
    I’ve considered taking up smoking more than once just because I feel I’m getting cheated out of several breaks.

  3. Can we for a minute acknowledge the odd pervasive thing for terrible uncomfortable beds we have? Like it’s some way of paying penance. Seriously, I sleep (and nap) so much better since getting a memory foam mattress! Why is everyone convinced hard beds are good for you? Why are hotels full of ’em? If you toss and turn all night, get a better mattress.

  4. Don’t get fooled by the whole nap room in the perks from a company list. I worked for a company which had a nap room in every building, but napping was still frowned upon. The only time people used the nap room was when they were sick. So “I’m going to the nap room” essentially became “I’m not feeling too well” .
